Build a wooden frame to hold prints and LED sign

    £150

    Bow Common, Greater London

    7th Oct 2019

We’re making some videos in a kitchen and the splashback is too reflective for the videos. So we’ve purchased some prints mounted on 5mm foamex to cover splashback. We’re now looking to have a wooden frame made to hold the prints in place, and also hold an LED sign. Photos can be provided for the area and all the components. Details of the job are: 1. Build freestanding wooden frame (337 x 74 x 15cm) to cover existing splashback. It sits on kitchen worktop (below cupboards). Needs to be in 3 parts that bolt together, with felt on bottom/top, to protect kitchen surfaces. 2. The 3 mounted prints (provided) need to be velcroed to front of frame. 3. Fix LED sign (provided) to background (fixings provided). Drill hole behind sign, to pass power cable through. 4. Cut 4 notches at the top of the backdrop, to run cables for 4 LED bars (provided). 5. Cut 2 notches at the bottom of the backdrop, to run extension cables (provided) from behind the backdrop to kitchen appliances in front.

    New kitchen fitting

    £5

    Bow Common, Greater London

    25th Jun 2019

We are looking for quotes to fit a new kitchen. We have an Ikea plan with about 21 cabinets, mostly with doors, but there are also about 7 drawers. All appliances need fitting and installing. New tiled back-splash. Ceiling plastering, wall painting and replacing the existing lamp. Potentially a new floor as well. It's not an urgent job, but once it start it should be completed quickly because we are living at the property.

VERY DISAPPOINTING. We chose Chris for a full kitchen renovation project based on his good reviews. He estimated 4 days for the job, including fitting the whole kitchen, tiling, painting and plastering. Everything sounded easy for him. After 3 weeks the job is still incomplete. The quality of the work is poor and we'll have to hire someone else to rectify his work. For the floor he demanded an upfront extra payment and the tiling is exceptionally bad: it is not leveled, not one tile is aligned with the other and there are wide gaps by the edges. Kitchen drawers are not straight. The list goes on. He damaged our property in multiple areas. Chris also requested for the payment to be released from AirTasker on the first day that he started the job, against AirTasker guidelines. We agreed to release it when the job was 75% done, but we now regret it. Chris is a friendly guy and probably good at small plumbing jobs but we would never recommend him for medium or big size projects.

    Extractor fans and door handles

    £100

    Bow Common, Greater London

    2nd Dec 2019

I have 2 extractor fans which need to be fixed - one in the kitchen and the same type of extractor fan in the bathroom - see pictures. In addition I have 5 door handles, which are becoming increasingly loose. The bathroom door handle is particularly bad - the door may need filling to secure the handle. I'm happy to provide all the materials that are needed but need guidance what is needed. I am hoping that the door handles don't need to be replaced. I think the issue is more around the screws coming loose from the door. Photo 1 and 2 - extractor fans in kitchen and bathroom. Photo 3 and 4 - bathroom door handle

Really nice guy and did a great job. Would wholeheartedly recommend. Thanks Sami!
