Emergency pre-winter repair of rotten timber bargeboard (Apex): I need a quick timber repair completed before the winter rains arrive. A section of the wooden bargeboard and underlying fascia near the chimney stack at the roof apex has rotted and needs cutting out and replacing with treated timber, then sealed to prevent water ingress.The house is being fully painted next year, so this just needs to be a sturdy, watertight, weatherproofed fix for the winter. The rotten section is high up at the gable peak. I am looking for someone who can complete this using alternative access rather than setting up full structural scaffolding. Seeking an immediate turnaround. My painter company will do the main work next year and he said I might find someone to do a temp fix in the meantime.
