Hello there. I am seeking a seamstress who can shorten my wedding dress by 2nd October. I initially tried it on with a one hoop underskirt and both the dress seller and my mum said it wasn’t too long even though I said I thought it was. They suggested it would be fine with a 3 or 4 hoop underskirt but after buying 3 different ones I still cannot walk in it without stepping on it. It’s 7 layers and I will cut the rest (it’s only a second hand dress and I’m desperately stressed!) so require only the top layer to be shortened. The bottom incorporates a train and is laced.
