Looking for a reliable handyman/carpenter to complete two projects, ideally starting towards the end of September. I’m happy for the work to be completed in parts/stages rather than all at once. 1. Dressing Table / Work Desk Grey & gold theme — floating dressing table with some drawer storage, L-shaped work desk, wall panelling, large LED mirror, floating shelves, lighting and hidden cable management. 2. Simple Media Feature Wall Approx. 149cm wall with 50” TV — grey slat panelling, TV backboard, electric fireplace, a slim floating TV stand/unit, gold detailing, LED lighting and hidden cables. I do not want a full traditional built-in media wall. The pictures/AI mock-ups are for inspiration only. All measurements are rough estimates, so I’d prefer you to come and measure everything properly first and advise what will work. I have a large IKEA HOVET mirror (78x196m) and a LACK shelf unit (both already assembled) which I would like to hang on my wall safely.

I need help with 2 things. 1. Fixing three flue inspection covers. The old ones do not attach anymore. I need the cover supply too if possible. I can give measurements. 2. I have a balcony door handle coming off. When I put it back, it still locks. However, tightening the screw does not attach the handle back to the frame. The plasterboard needs to be properly patched and filled, sanded smooth and then painted so the repair blends in with the existing wall and is as unnoticeable as possible. I will confirm the exact wall paint colour with the building management and I’ll provide the paint color. Looking for someone experienced with plasterboard/drywall repairs who can complete the whole job including the finishing and painting.

Looking for an experienced handyman today (12 July) to help with a few repairs around my flat in Greenwich. I have to travel on short notice tomorrow and have a house sitter coming next week to look after my German Shepherd while I'm out, so I'm looking to get these practical jobs completed as a priority. Jobs Repair/resecure several internal door handles/door knobs that have come loose or come off. Assess and repair minor wood damage around the door handle fixings where possible. Adjust/repair the living room door, which isn't closing/opening properly. Check any other internal doors that may need minor adjustment while on site. I've got a toolbox but please bring any tools you think are needed and any standard fixings you think may be required. If additional materials are needed beyond standard screws/fixings, I'm happy to buy them or reimburse these separately with prior agreement. I'm looking to replace my tumble dryer. It's a hardwired, vented White Knight (still usable for parts) to be replaced with a heat pump model. I would get the new machine delivered but need the old one disconnected and removed, the new one hardwired, and a drainage hose connected to the nearby sink waste. Both units are under-counter/integrated with a wooden unit door to be fitted.
