Hi, I'm not a fancy Toorak resident.. just renting a studio here, and I need a couple of tasks done that I can't get done. One is putting this together - a basic shoe rack/shelf that needs a drill. Also, the second pic is a draw handle that is on the inside of a draw from transport, but I can't get it off to put it on the outside.. lol.. I’ve had new carpet installed and now one of my internal doors no longer fits properly – it’s too tight against the carpet. The door is currently off its hinges and just needs to be shaved down slightly at the bottom and then rehung. Looking for a qualified chippy or someone experienced with this kind of work to: - Trim the bottom of the door to allow clearance over the carpet - Rehang the door securely Should be a quick job for someone with the right tools. Flexible with time but need to get it sorted on either Friday or Saturday few days. Located in Toorak.

Hi, I require either a carpenter, door installer, or locksmith to make an alteration to allow a latch to fit inside the strike hole again. The lock itself appears to work in that the key locks and unlocks the handle and latch of the lock, but the gate door won't ever lock. Looking closely, the latch doesn't sit inside the hole anymore and hits above it, due to a misalingment. When it was installed a couple years ago, it was working fine, however the door may have recenty shifted or warped, causing this, although I'm not sure. I am seeking someone to correct this, ideally by first checking the hinges and alingment of the door, etc. If this doesn't work, then perhaps remounting the strike plate higher or trimming off a bit of the metal at the top of the strke hole, or whatever you suggest.
