Find an experienced handyman in Fitzroy North

The bathroom towel rack was ripped out of the wall and it needs to be fixed as well as the plaster around it

I need a handyman to do a few small jobs in a home we recently moved into. Looking for somebody who is a jack of all trades who can a lot of future work also. Ideally somebody close to Fitzroy North. The current jobs are: 1. Install a rail in a wardrobe. I have purchased a 19mm rail with fittings to screw it in place at each end - three screws on each side. Note that the rail will need to be cut to size (Hollow aluminum). 2. There is a small fan in the laundry which doesn't appear to work. Have a look at what could be wrong with it and fix or remove so I can purchase a replacement. 3. There is an interior door that doesn't latch (No locking mechanism). It is about 2-3 mm short. Fix it so the door latches again. 4. There are three downlights in the bathroom. Remove one so I can identify the globe type and I will purchase new ones which are softer. I will install the new globes myself or create a new job for this work. You will need to bring all of the required tools for the work, however, I do have a ladder you can use. Easy free parking outside of house.

I need a new digital door lock to be installed. My old lock was a mortise style and has been removed. However I don't believe the holes are the right size for the new lock I have. So may need to be new holes made.

Midcentury wall mounted shelving unit to be installed. The unit itself is roughly 2.1m tall and needs to be fixed to plasterboard. I imagine this unit spread across two walls making a corner. The job needs to be professional grade (strong, precise and durable hold), and needs to include rubbish removal and an invoice.

A guest has tried to use the blinds on the skylight and has pulled on side off. The screw now slips straight out of the hole so will need to be redone. Would also like the opposite side checked to make sure it sturdy as there has been some paint fall from that side since the incident. You will need a ladder to reach the affected area.

Hi! My blind chain broke, and I believe it needs a new mechanism. It’s stuck in the down position, which isn’t ideal on these besutiful days. The handyman my real estate agent usually sends (who said it needed new mechanism as he had fixed the chain and then it broke) is away until the end of April and frankly it’s depressing and I just want to have it done. We are required to replace the back door as we had a large dog door installed, the new tenants do not own a dog. The door frame is of a standard size, 2040mm(H) x 820mm(W) x 35mm(L). Preferable that door, door lock and hinges are supplied to finish job. Thanks in advance!

Hello. We have a security trestle gate at a shop in Fitzroy north that is getting more and more difficult to open. After some one who is experienced at servicing them to quote for any repairs if it’s worth repairing.

Our shower rail has just broken and needs to be replaced. The distance between the wall fixing points is 650mm. We are after the cheapest rail replacement as it’s only temp. Thanks!

Using battens (partly prepared) and have rest of wood to cut, glue mirrors to the wall. They are frameless 30kg each. 1.8 by 1.2m. You need to be confident you know how to do this and do it yourself or with someone else. The wall is painted plaster and back of mirrors have backing cover and that's all.
