If I gently assist the door by lifting it when it gets stuck, the motor continues working. I need an experienced person to inspect the door, identify the cause and repair it. I ordered a monitor arm that is wall mounted. I don't feel comfortable with drilling holes in the wall, already drilled 3 but I am hitting resistance. If it's a simple job it should take no more than 10 minutes. Easy money here as all I am asking is 4 holes to be drilled and maybe assistance in covering the holes I already drilled. Photo's provided are the general working area. I have seen there is wood studs as I did some work with the outlets nearby, but I seem to be hitting a metal plate of some sort? can't really determine it as I do not have skilful eyes.

I need a handyman for about two hours on the morning of Saturday 31 October to help rig a few things for a one-day event at Roxy's, 2 Alfred Place, South Melbourne. Starting 9am. The main job Mounting a 130 x 20cm LED sign to a portable DJ booth. The sign is about 10cm deep and a few kilos. The booth is 195 x 70 x 130cm, an aluminium folding frame with a stretch fabric cover over it, so there's no rigid surface on the outside to fix to. Similar setups have been secured with ties. I'm open to however you'd approach it, that's the reason I'm asking someone who does this for a living rather than guessing. Also on the list Assembling a portable fold up DJ booth for the event Weighting the base of the booth so it can't tip. There's a large freestanding sign leaning against the front of it. Assembling two mesh display walls Setting up four A1 sign stands. One has worn screw threads and needs a bit of patience. Positioning and securing the large freestanding sign Whatever else comes up. It's a full room setup, so an extra set of hands and a toolkit is the point. Important: everything needs to come apart by hand at the end of the day. We pack down at 4:30pm with general crew, not tradespeople, so nothing should need tools to remove. You don't need to come back. Bring your own tools and fixings. Cable ties, straps, gaffer, whatever you'd normally carry. Happy to reimburse consumables. I'll be on site the whole time, along with our sound engineer. I need help installing an Aqara Roller Shade Driver E1 on an existing roller blind. The Aqara unit itself is straightforward, but the existing blind chain setup makes me reluctant to do it myself. The chain guide/tensioner has recently been repaired and appears to have been attached to the wall using putty/adhesive rather than screws (see photo). Because I'm renting, I don't want to pull on it, damage the wall, or accidentally pull the blind fitting off while trying to access/reposition the chain. I already have: Aqara Roller Shade Driver E1 Original Aqara mounting bracket 3M adhesive mounting strip Chain adapters/accessories supplied with the unit I'm looking for someone with experience with roller blinds, blind chains or smart blind motors who can: Work out the safest way to install the Aqara driver with the existing chain setup Avoid damaging or pulling out the existing chain guide/tensioner Install the driver securely, preferably without drilling Set the correct chain tension and position Make sure the blind runs smoothly up and down once installed As this is a rental, the priority is a clean, reversible installation with minimal disturbance to the existing blind hardware. I've attached photos of the current chain fitting and the Aqara unit/bracket so you can see what you're working with.
