I’m looking for a qualified electrician/handyperson to: Diagnose and repair one electric blind that has stopped charging/operating. It may need a new battery/charger, or potentially to be hard-wired - happy to discuss the most practical and cost-effective option once assessed. Replace 2-4 light bulbs. The blind is currently installed and accessible. Ideally, I’d like someone who can diagnose the issue and complete the repair during the same visit if possible. Please include your call-out/labour cost and let me know if parts would be an additional cost. It is a Somfy Sonesse 30 WireFree RTS Li-ion roller blind. We’ve bought a new genuine Somfy charger this week but it isn’t working . The charging light stays red even after 12+ hours. The blind won’t respond to the remote or the motor button, but it does briefly jog when the charger is plugged in. I’m looking for someone to diagnose/repair the motor or internal battery. Thanks!

Looking for a handyman to install 4 child safety cord clips/cleats for my roller blinds to meet Victorian rental compliance standards - 2 x timber, 2 x cement/brick. I already have the official safety clips, but they need to be drilled securely into the walls. Screws for timber fittings provided (x 2). Will need you to provide screws for cement/brick (x 2).

I need help installing an Aqara Roller Shade Driver E1 on an existing roller blind. The Aqara unit itself is straightforward, but the existing blind chain setup makes me reluctant to do it myself. The chain guide/tensioner has recently been repaired and appears to have been attached to the wall using putty/adhesive rather than screws (see photo). Because I'm renting, I don't want to pull on it, damage the wall, or accidentally pull the blind fitting off while trying to access/reposition the chain. I already have: Aqara Roller Shade Driver E1 Original Aqara mounting bracket 3M adhesive mounting strip Chain adapters/accessories supplied with the unit I'm looking for someone with experience with roller blinds, blind chains or smart blind motors who can: Work out the safest way to install the Aqara driver with the existing chain setup Avoid damaging or pulling out the existing chain guide/tensioner Install the driver securely, preferably without drilling Set the correct chain tension and position Make sure the blind runs smoothly up and down once installed As this is a rental, the priority is a clean, reversible installation with minimal disturbance to the existing blind hardware. I've attached photos of the current chain fitting and the Aqara unit/bracket so you can see what you're working with.
