The job will involve: Scraping and removing all loose, peeling and flaking paint. Preparing the affected ceiling surfaces so they are sound and suitable for repainting. Filling/sanding minor cracks, damaged areas and uneven surfaces as required. Checking the stained areas for signs of ongoing moisture or water ingress and advising if the underlying cause needs attention before painting. Cleaning/treating any surface mould or mildew if present. Applying a suitable stain blocking/sealing primer to affected areas. Repainting the ceiling with a suitable bathroom/high-moisture ceiling paint for a clean, uniform finish. Neatly preparing and painting around the existing ceiling vents and fixtures. Leaving the area clean and free of paint debris upon completion.

Looking for an experienced plasterer/gyprocker to complete a small repair in the ceiling around a recently installed ceiling fan in our master bedroom. As shown in the photo, there is a rectangular section of plasterboard around the ceiling fan which was cut to install a support beam for the fan. The job is to: * Patch/reinstate the plasterboard around the ceiling fan * Tape/set/plaster as required * Sand smooth and flush with the existing ceiling * Leave the repaired area ready for us to prime and paint ourselves * Protect the bedroom/flooring from dust and clean up afterwards Ceiling height is approximately 3.9 metres, so you’ll need to provide your own suitable high ladder/platform/access equipment. Trim a solid-core internal door and prep hinges (not hanging yet) I have a solid-core internal door that needs to be trimmed to fit an existing door frame, with hinges mortised/prepped — but NOT hung yet, as we want to paint the door first. • Opening size: approx. 202cm (H) x 80.5cm (W) — door will need trimming down from standard slab size (2040 x 820mm) to fit • Need door planed/cut to size and hinge mortises cut/prepped so it’s ready to hang later • Door will be hung by us once painted • Existing hinges/hardware may be reused or replaced if needed — happy to discuss on the day • Door and any required hardware will be supplied by me, unless you’d prefer to quote including hinges (may need heavier duty hinges than what we currently have) Ideal Tasker: experienced carpenter or handyman with the right tools (planer, chisels, hinge jig) for a clean, precise trim and mortise.

Looking for someone experienced with roller blind repairs. The beaded pull chain on my roller blind appears to have shifted/misaligned. The small beads on the chain may have moved out of position or slipped in the clutch/gear mechanism, causing the blind to not operate properly. I believe it may need the chain to be realigned/reset in the roller mechanism, or replaced if necessary. Looking for someone who can: * Inspect the roller blind and beaded chain mechanism * Realign/reset the chain and clutch mechanism * Make sure the blind opens and closes smoothly again Please bring suitable tools and any common roller blind chain parts if possible.
