I’m looking for an experienced handyman/carpenter to replace several worn doors in my apartment in Eastlakes. The internal doors have deteriorated over time, partly due to moisture/steam from the laundry dryers nearby. I’m not looking for anything fancy — just simple, neat replacement timber doors, potentially sourced from Bunnings or similar. Scope of work: * Replace 3 internal doors * Supply/install simple new door handles/knobs * Replace 1 external balcony door * Replace/repair the balcony flyscreen door as required * Install a keypad/keyless lock on the balcony door, so I can enter without carrying a physical key * Remove/dispose of the old doors if possible * Doors will need to be measured, fitted and hung correctly using the existing frames where possible I’m happy for you to inspect the apartment first and recommend suitable doors and hardware. I’m also happy with reasonably priced off-the-shelf options from Bunnings rather than custom-made doors. Budget: Maximum $1,000 total, including labour, doors, handles/locks and other materials. When quoting, please let me know whether your price includes all materials + labour, and ideally provide a rough breakdown. Located in Eastlakes, Sydney.
