Hi, I’m looking for an experienced handyman to help pest-proof my ground floor apartment. The apartment has a small courtyard, and I’m trying to prevent cockroaches from entering the apartment. Job 1 – Inspect and seal potential entry points Please inspect and seal any visible gaps, cracks or openings along the exterior-facing wall between the courtyard and bathroom, especially near the floor. I’d also appreciate it if you could check other potential entry points nearby, such as: * wall/floor junctions * around window frames * around pipe penetrations (if applicable) Please use a durable, long-term solution suitable for outdoor/moist environments rather than a temporary cosmetic repair. ⸻ Job 2 – Install a flyscreen for an existing louvre window The existing window is a louvre (jalousie) window. The glass blades rotate within the window frame (they do not swing outward). I’d like to keep the existing window and install a custom flyscreen, ideally on the outside (courtyard side) if feasible, while keeping the louvre window fully functional. Bathroom door fixed in a metal frame came off the frame. The hinge, door and frame are intact but the hinge is secure on the frame with rivets that need to be removed and replaced.
