Find an experienced handyman in Newtown NSW

I need a non-security doorknob purchased and fitted for a pantry door. The hole is 55cm round. I would like a white doorknob. (I went to local Mitre 10 Newtown and they didn't have the correct size.) thank you

I have 5x Bergshult IKEA Shelves with black mounts, and need them assembled and drilled up onto the wall, approximately 8ft off the ground. Maximum 90 minute job, with minimal tools needed. Walls are brick/plaster over brick, and you'll have assembly help. Lots of other potential work around the house, for someone handy!

We are looking to install 8 hooks/pictures on brick rendered walls, as well as assistance installing blinds.

Fix 2 hinges. Might need to be reset. Screws long gone.

We are after a Crome/stainless steel Matt counter. About 3-4m long. Photo is just an example. No lighting. Just a rectangle counter for centre of new store. However we would need some shelves on one side. Not really cupboards if that is to hard.

Door hinges have worn away and need to be replaced. Door is now hanging slightly loose at the top so it is catching and scraping on the frame when opened. Hinges will probably heed to be replaced and door re aligned and rehung.

The bottom hinge on the bifold doors for our laundry has become unhinged before the wood has rotted from damp. We need the hinge to be moved further up.

We have a double storied wall, with a pitched ceiling that used to have a plant climbing up it - the plant was secured to the wall with screws. We’ve removed the plant and all the screws, but need to wall to be repaired and repainted. The screw holes need to be patched , and the whole wall needs to be cleaned, sanded and repainted. The shelf under my sink is blocking me putting a regular sized bin underneath. It has been cut to size for the kitchen pipe to go through it but I can’t figure out how to either unscrew the pipe or cut the shelf away (without damaging the pipe)

Hi! I just bought a second hand 2019 Sony Bravia 75” tv and I had it on top of a skinny hall table. I’ve put it on the floor for now because it looked too precarious on the table, my cat was walking behind it and I was afraid of it falling over. I think it needs reinforcement from the wall behind. The wall is concrete. It’s an old terrace house in Newtown. I don’t have any of the walk mounting parts. I’d like it to still be on the table as well. Would love for it to be done this weekend :)

I would like to install a cat door to my bedroom. The bedroom door is wooden so requires a bit of sawing and then then cat door can be clipped on
