Looking for an experienced cabinetmaker, kitchen installer or carpenter to modify an existing kitchen cupboard to fit a freestanding dishwasher. The cupboard is directly beside the sink and next to the fridge. Approx. measurements: Opening width: ~60 cm Floor to underside of benchtop: 87 cm Available depth: ~60 cm Existing cupboard base: ~15 cm above tiled floor Required work: Remove cupboard doors and internal shelves Remove/modify cupboard floor/base Cut/modify kickboard so dishwasher can sit directly on tiled floor Create the maximum practical clear opening Ensure benchtop and surrounding cabinetry remain properly supported Neatly finish exposed edges/gaps Make suitable openings for dishwasher hoses if required Retain removed doors/shelves where possible We are considering either a 45 cm slimline or full-size 60 cm freestanding dishwasher, depending on what can safely fit. Plumbing is immediately under the sink on the left. Existing double power point is behind the fridge on the right. We may move/renovate within ~12 months, so looking for a simple, neat and cost-effective solution rather than major custom cabinetry. Budget: $350–$450, open to reasonable quotes. I have a breville oracle touch coffee machine that I've owned for about 4 years. Very lightly used. I've noticed that it now takes about 30 additional seconds to kick into gear when making a coffee so by the time it starts working the machine thinks it has extracted a full shot when it hasnt. Machine has been cleaned at all cycles and was serviced by Breville's "authorised repairer" who found nothing wrong.
