I have Venetian blinds the pull cord is mostly intact, but the top part has come loose or detached from the mechanism. Relatively new Roman blinds. I have young tenants in there and they claim the blind just stopped working. Perhaps they pulled at an angle or were a little rough. From pictures you can see the strings have detached from the pegs/loops BUT one peg/loop has also come away from the back of the blind.
