I’m a handyman, so I inspected the property myself and discovered a leaking water pipe, which I believe is the cause of the high bill. I contacted the water company and explained the situation, but they require a letter from a licensed plumber confirming the issue. I haven’t replaced the leaking pipe yet — it’s located on the roof and connected to the evaporative cooling system. The replacement pipe only costs about $10, and I’m capable of replacing it myself. If a licensed plumber is willing to provide a letter stating the above, I’m happy to pay $20 for their assistance. Alternatively, if they prefer to replace the pipe themselves, I’m willing to pay $50 for the service. Please let me know. Property is located in Western suburbs of Melbourne. Thanks
