The two floor types meet in a straight line but are different timbers/colours (Baltic Pine & Tasmanian Oak). I would like a custom timber transition strip (or brass metal) made and installed to create a clean, intentional finish i.e. recessed. Scope of works: Inspect existing flooring junction. Supply suitable timber transition strip (matching or complementary timber such as Tasmanian Oak). Rebate the strip into the flooring join where required. Finish flush or as close to flush as practical with the existing floor surface. Sand, stain and finish to complement one or both floor finishes. Leave with a professional, tidy appearance. Alternatively a 10–20 mm wide brass flat bar recessed into the floor (example pictured - can purchase strip with suggestion).

I've picked up some floorboarding from Bunnings, just hybrid to replace the current floating floorboards, and one carpeted room, in my flat. The space needing floorboards is roughly 50m2. Skirting boards will also need to be installed, looking at 70 linear metres. The house is currently furnished but things can easily be moved as the work progresses. The larger bedroom is currently carpeted, which can be removed prior to the work. The smaller second bedroom already has the new floorboards laid, and won't need doing.
