I’m looking for an experienced plasterer to permanently close up an old manhole in my bathroom ceiling. Size: approx. 50cm x 40cm Location: Fairfield, Melbourne Timing: Within the next 7 days We recently installed new attic access elsewhere, so this old opening needs to be completely removed and patched so the ceiling looks seamless and flush – as if it was never there. Scope of work: • Remove existing manhole frame • Install backing/noggins as required • Patch with plasterboard • Tape, set and sand to a smooth finish • Feather properly so no visible edges under bathroom lighting Ideally looking for someone experienced in ceiling patch repairs (not general handyman work). Bathroom ceiling, so attention to moisture-resistant materials if needed. Looking for quotes for power point install in interior brick wall of apartment. Ground floor of 1970s double brick apartment building. There is no current power point in the wall to draw from. I also don’t like the look of interior ducting. I think the best option is to drill from a current power point to the exterior and duct along the exterior wall, then into the back of my cupboard and hide any interior ducting that way. So, lots of drilling holes into brick…
