I’m looking for someone experienced in carpentry/garage conversions to improve the inside of my garage roof. The garage has an exposed pitched timber roof with roofing felt visible between the rafters. I want to keep the pitched/vaulted roof look rather than install a flat ceiling. The job would ideally include: Inspect the existing roof/rafters and advise on the best way to finish it Add insulation between the pitched rafters where appropriate Make sure suitable ventilation/air gaps are maintained to avoid condensation Fit a suitable vapour control layer if required Clad the underside of the pitched roof with plywood for a clean finished appearance Keep the main horizontal structural timber beams exposed Cut boards neatly around the existing roof structure Make good/tidy any visible edges and junctions The garage is being used as a home gym / office, so I’m mainly looking to make it warmer, cleaner and more finished while retaining the character of the exposed pitched roof.
