Materials to Be Provided by You: • Insulation: Acoustic mineral wool (Rockwool RW3 or RWA45), 25–50mm thickness. All seams to be fully sealed with foil tape. • Boxing Material: Fire-rated plasterboard (12.5mm pink Fireline plasterboard). Please do not use plywood or MDF. • Frame: 50mm metal stud frame preferred. • Protection: Protective covering for the hob, worktops, and kitchen cabinets during the works. • Finishing: Mist coat or plasterboard primer, and paint to match the existing ceiling/walls. We are considering including an access panel to allow future access to the duct and would welcome your view on whether this is advisable. If you believe there are alternative materials that would be better or more cost-effective, or if any additional materials would be required, please let me know.
