I'm looking for someone to build a new box-style structure inside my fireplace using fireproof cement board — that means a front panel plus panels on either side and above, so it forms a complete shape around the log burner. Once that's in place, I only want the front panel tiled in a red-and-white checkerboard pattern. The tiles will be supplied by me. You'll need to bring everything else: the cement board, heat-resistant adhesive, heat-resistant grout, and a paintable fireproof caulk for the joins. The side and top panels you build won't be tiled and don't need painting, so they can be left as bare cement board. The log burner will stay in place, so the work needs to be done around it. The existing surround and hearth shouldn't be touched. I just want a clean, safe tiled border on the front, with a properly built cement-board structure behind it. i've attched the current view plus the view i'm trying to create.

Hi, I need to repaint 4 internal doors. Strip the paint off my fireplace inset (the interior of fireplace). And repaint the fireplace inset with stove paint + the surround in regular paint. I will provide all paints + undercoat.

Measure up and provide a labor quote. No painting required. The chimney opening also needs to be widened by approximately an couple inches, requiring some cutting into the existing brickwork. The newly exposed opening will also needs to be plastered where required.

Looking for an experienced carpenter/joiner to complete the finishing work in our living room. All materials have already been purchased – we just need someone with the skills and tools to complete the installation to a high standard. Jobs required: * Install coving on the fireplace/chimney breast wall. * Fit skirting boards underneath the built-in cupboards. * Remove and refit/adjust the skirting board under the window so it sits level and flush (currently uneven). * Install and secure the fireplace to the wall. Hi I need someone to knock some bricks out of a fireplace with an SDS hammer drill as i’m opening up fireplace

Hang new mirror in living room above chimney breast area of the fireplace. Requires drilling and precise hanging. Relocate the old mirror to hallway. Requires new back fittings so it can be hung portrait instead of landscape. Both mirrors need to be slightly higher than present so I can see myself in it.
