I’m looking for someone with experience repairing European-style electric roller shutters (the external shutters that roll up into a housing above the window). Yesterday, a door accidentally obstructed the shutter while it was operating. It appears to have come off its tracks or become misaligned and is now stuck in the raised position. I’m hoping this is a relatively straightforward mechanical repair rather than needing replacement parts. Ideally, I’m looking for someone who has worked on this type of shutter before and can inspect it, realign it and get it functioning properly again. The manual cord to operate the external roller shutter over the french window has broken. In addition the door hinge has broken, due to a strong gust of wind, and the guide rail for the shutter has been slightly bent.
