Looking for an experienced carpenter/joiner to complete the finishing work in our living room. All materials have already been purchased – we just need someone with the skills and tools to complete the installation to a high standard. Jobs required: * Install coving on the fireplace/chimney breast wall. * Fit skirting boards underneath the built-in cupboards. * Remove and refit/adjust the skirting board under the window so it sits level and flush (currently uneven). * Install and secure the fireplace to the wall. Fireplace opening stripped to bare brick needs blocking up and plastering. Job includes: clear debris, frame and board opening with cement board, fit hit-and-miss air vent, bonding coat then skim plaster to match wall. Stain block needed before finish. Reposting this: I’m looking for an experienced tasker to hang two items for me. One is an aluminium wall mirror which is 88cm diameter and 8.78kg. It has a single keyhole bracket on the back, which needs a screw and wall plug (please provide these). The second item is a floating wood shelf, 110cm long x 15cm deep x 5cm thick. Attach large panel mirror 110cmx110cm to crevice in wall beside fireplace. There are four 6mm fixing holes in each corner to drill the mirror into the wall.

You need a Phillip screwdriver, stud finder, tape measure and electric drill; wood drill bit and hammer

I have a marble fireplace mount and insert. For decorative use only! The insert fits mostly into the existing space, there is about a 3cm gap. I think the plaster may need to be removed from the wall to fit the marble as the edges are not straight on the wall side. It is purely for decorative purposes. Some of the skirting board may need to be removed from each side of the wall to accommodate. The mantle top is slightly too long. Will need to be cut if possible, it looks like there may have been a crack or put together where it needs to be cut as shown. If not possible there is space for it it to be wider than chimney breast on each side. Flexible on days. Please ask if any further questions or want more photos.

Removal of False Chimney Breast + Fireplace + Built-in Storage We have a non-structural, plasterboard false chimney breast with decorative fireplace and built-in storage/shelving to one side (see photo). This is not a real brick chimney and is not structural — it appears to be timber stud, plasterboard and skim. Scope of works: • Remove false chimney breast structure • Remove decorative fireplace and surround • Remove adjacent built-in cupboard and shelving • Make good wall, ceiling and floor behind (ready for painting) • Replace skirting where required • Remove all waste/rubble from site The fireplace is not in use and is not connected to gas.
