I’m looking for someone to replace the wooden seat part of four dining chairs. The majority of the chair itself is fine but the seat platforms are crumbling, so I’d like to get them replaced. The chairs are upholstered, so ideal if you can keep those materials and replace them on the new seat.

Hi I need 3 new doors installed. You can see the existing ones in the pictures. Its two laundry doors and a bathroom door. I am using the same parts but just have a new handle for one of the doors (the bathroom door). New doors have just been delivered, they are the exact same size as the previous ones, just not shown in the pictures, I can take a photo tomorrow. There is a basement with parking near the lift (max height 2.1m). Also street parking. The interior of the doors are pretty hollow so they are light.

We have a rental property. Three bedrooms upstairs and a shop downstairs on Enmore rd, Newtown. There is some noise that emanates from the shop into the upstairs room. Is there a way to explore soundproofing options? Something that can be put under the floorboards? or does everything have to happen from the shop downstairs? There is also a hallway downstairs that leads to the shop. We want to soundproof the hallway and the door so the sound does not travel into the back of the building. We want to ensure our retail tenants are as comfortable as possible. Budget is ofcourse adjustable to what the actual solution, materials, labor used etc

Jobs 1 and 2 are simple. Fill the holes with plaster and then paint over. Job 3 is more complex. Cut out the gyprock (may be fire rated gyprock, am not sure), replace-gyprock that square, plaster and paint. We will provide paint. Other materials provided by you.

I need gyprock installed to the lower third of an exposed brick wall to prepare the wall for installation of wainscotting. The section of wall to be covered is 270*90cm You will need to include all materials in the quote.

We've just removed an old, rusted letterbox from our front metal fence, but the two screws that were attaching it are still stuck in the fence, along with a small but sharp scrap of metal from the base of the letterbox. The screws are very old, and my attempts to get them out using a screwdriver have failed. I'm hoping someone with more tools and skills can remove the screws altogether – or, if that proves impossible, at least remove the scrap of metal left behind by the letterbox, as it's sharp and could cut somebody if left on the fence. A couple of photos attached – one from above, one from below. The two screws are either side of the larger circle in the middle. 

Originally posted for a Tuesday job but needed to change the day… We have moved out of an old place and taken pictures from the wall tearing the paint and whatever else. Hi we are a time poor family and need some help getting through a list of odd jobs in the house for someone with some basic handyman credentials. Might be more of a day job with a trip to Bunnings so would be keen to just pay a day rate if so - if all can be done in a day This includes: - installing a curtain rod/rails above bedroom window - remove 4 x old curtains that we are replacing - fixing external locks on laundry and porch doors - they are unaligned/old and loose - advising on lock solution to unsecured windows - fixing 2 x loose door handles/latches - installing a hook/hanging painting - installing bars back into window (we removed when moving furniture)

Need to drill into masonry wall and then install ikea boaxel shelving. We have the screws and wall plugs. You should bring your masonry drill and spirit level or digital level. It would require drilling approx 29 holes into the masonry. The shelving is 2 metres tall and 1.2m wide.

Kitchen sink blocked all of a sudden

We are looking for a handyperson who can help us with a couple of odd jobs around our house to help make it a home. This would need to be a person with builder / electrical expertise for about 2-3 hours and includes the following tasks: 1. Putting up picture hooks (about 4) 2. Putting up Elfa shelving in the living room. It only requires one wall mount.

This is trickier than it sounds due to the material of the walls which seems to be some kind of hollow brick so neither the standard method for solid brick nor gyprock will do. The existing curtain rail needs to be lowered due to the installation of an air conditioner. There may be various other jobs we will offer as well (separate to this)
