NBN / Wi-Fi / Mesh Network / Smart Home Setup Help Needed I’m looking for someone experienced with NBN and home Wi-Fi/network setup to help me get my internet and devices working correctly. I recently changed internet providers to Optus and received a new modem. Since changing over, I’ve been having problems connecting some of my devices to the Wi-Fi, particularly my robotic vacuum and TV. Both were working perfectly with my previous internet connection. I also have a mesh Wi-Fi system set up throughout the house, and I need this configured correctly so that it works properly with the new Optus modem and all of my devices. I have already spoken with Optus and they have enabled both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi bands, but I’m still unable to connect certain devices. I’m not very tech-savvy, so I’m looking for someone who can come to my home and: ● Check that my NBN and Optus modem/router are connected and configured correctly ● Check and correctly configure my mesh Wi-Fi system ● Make sure the mesh system and Optus modem are working together properly ● Check that the 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi networks are working correctly ● Troubleshoot why my robotic vacuum and TV won’t connect ● Connect my devices to the correct network and make sure they are working properly ● Make sure my Wi-Fi coverage is working properly throughout the house ● Explain anything I need to know in simple, easy-to-understand terms Ideally, I’d like someone who has experience with Optus NBN, Wi-Fi networks, mesh Wi-Fi systems, smart TVs and smart-home devices, particularly devices that require 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. My system (Win11) frequently disconnects or slows down when connecting to Internet over WiFi. I'm not sure if there is some DNS/network settings that needs to be changed for optimum speeds or any changes to WiFi router. Same WiFi works well connected via mobile.

Hi, i have a place in adelaide, there are network ports up and downstairs but im unsure if they are working, i have the nbn box and a mesh system but the signal drops out upstairs, im wanting to see if the network ports can be used or if extra equipment needs to be installed so i can have stable wifi upstairs.

Hi, I’d like to get a quote to move my router from the front of the house to a more central location, approximately 15m away. The NBN box is currently near the front door. There is an existing old cable route under the floor, so ideally the new Ethernet/data cable can follow the same route. Please let me know the approximate cost. Thanks!

We’re a small business looking for a a reliable local IT/network technician for an initial job, a larger network upgrade, and potentially ongoing IT support as required. 1) INITIAL JOB - UNIFI ACCESS POINT - Check our existing UniFi Access Point, does not seem have power despite power cycling Switch. Figure out what is happening and make it work. - I'm trying to install a 2nd Unifi Access Point (via a second switch, see photo). However, when I plug it in it causes PoE power on our Switch to cut out. Figure what is happening and make the 2nd Access Point work. - Background: CISCO Switch, Ubiquiti Access Point - Additional hardware or cabling: Separately approved, since the fault could require replacement equipment. 2) Separate quote for other jobs if want - not mandatory, but preferred A) While onsite, assess and separately quote - Upgrading our wired office network from 1 GbE to 2.5 GbE for faster internal LAN and NAS file transfers. - Upgrading the network switch and tidying/reorganising the network cabinet and patch panel as needed. Looking for an experienced network or IT technician to diagnose and optimise slow internet speeds on our newly installed AW1000 5G Home Modem. Tasks: Test cellular signal reception throughout the property to find optimal antenna placement. Access the modem backend to check cellular band locking/signal metrics (RSRP, SINR, 5G vs 4G fallback). Check and configure internal Wi-Fi channel bands (2.4 GHz vs 5 GHz / Wi-Fi 6) to eliminate interference. Provide recommendations (e.g., external antenna, Wi-Fi mesh extenders) if coverage or line-of-sight is obstructed. Requirements: Experience with 5G fixed wireless/OpenWRT gateways and home network diagnostics. Please bring standard testing tools (laptop with Ethernet adapter, network speed/signal testing apps).

When my home was built CAT5 cabling was installed. It runs to each room from a hub under the stairs. We've never used it. We find though that our Telstra modem (new), which broadcasts auto does not work well in some rooms. We have 2-3 Telstra boosters. They though don't help. Eager for someone to check and prep the LAN to allow it to work - no cabling needed. Just link it to the modem. Also to check the auto 2.4 and 5 broadcast or set up two bands.

Need someone who understands unifi home network. Previous owners left cameras, smart doorbell, wifi spots, and a unifi cloud key gen 2+ (and all cabling). I just need to know what (if anything) else to buy, and for it to all be set up. I have a router provided by my isp and a couple of cheap tp link switches if they are of any use.

Must have Networking degree or certifications on enterprise grade LAN networks. The current router is Aruba with TPLink APs that are unable to add new users. The network is also connected to printers, VPN config etc. so DDNS config experience is must to ensure existing infra is not broken. We need to check why new users are unable to join the network and resolve the issue. You should have your own equipment to connect with router/ switch or modem.

We have NBN network, with a google nest mesh system. We have issues getting the printer connected, and want to be able to print, scan, etc from desktop computers to desktop computers. Brother MFC unit.
