Hi, We’re looking for an experienced IT/network specialist to come onsite to our studio in Burleigh Heads and check our network and storage is setup properly and running reliably. We’re primarily a Mac-based studio with 4 workstations. Our current setup includes: * Synology DS1621+ NAS with DX517 expansion * UniFi Dream Machine Pro and UniFi network hardware * 10GbE networking * MacBook Pro workstations * AWS NAS Backup, Dropbox cloud storage/sync, MEGA media library * Kyocera wifi printer + other wifi machines. We need someone who is particularly experienced with macOS, Synology and high-speed networking. The main priorities are getting the 10GbE network running properly across the studio, optimising NAS performance and file access, check cloud backup/sync, remote access/VPN, network security and generally review / clean up the existing setup. We need someone who is confident with business networking and can come onsite, assess the current setup and get everything working properly. $500 for a half day. Our engineer will guide you through the process and perform the configuration remotely. You will only be required to connect equipment and move a network cable when instructed. The job includes: * Replace the current router connected to the NBN box with the Aussie Broadband NL19MESH router. * Set up and connect the CyberPower UPS, VBox and iBoot-G2. * Assign the specific IP addresses to the corresponding MAC addresses for each device. The IP/MAC details will be provided on the day. * Whitelist the required IP address so our team can remotely access the network/devices. * Test the network and confirm all devices are communicating correctly. * Run and secure all cables neatly to the wall, rather than leaving them loose or lying around. Internet is down and I don’t know how to fix

Need help relocating my NBN modem/router to the garage in a 3-storey townhouse. The NBN box is upstairs and the house already has Ethernet wall sockets, including 3 upstairs and one in the downstairs office. I’d like someone experienced with home networking to work out the existing cabling and connect it so the modem/router can be moved to the garage, while keeping Ethernet available where possible. We don't want the modem on level 3 where all the bedrooms are, and to be sleeping next to EMF all night long. Ideally, the scenario is: - Move modem to the garage so WIFI is available throughout the house. - Allow for Ethernet where possible; plug the white cable into my PC so the speed is quicker. - or if you have a better idea then happy to hear it. - There is a wall socket in level 1 that we can get a super long cable so it can be wired to the modem in the garage, so if you can make it so it's not trip hazard then even better. Happy to buy any cables or equipment needed beforehand if you tell me what to get.

Must have Networking degree or certifications on enterprise grade LAN networks. The current router is Aruba with TPLink APs that are unable to add new users. The network is also connected to printers, VPN config etc. so DDNS config experience is must to ensure existing infra is not broken. We need to check why new users are unable to join the network and resolve the issue. You should have your own equipment to connect with router/ switch or modem.

We have a HP M404dn printer in store, but it's not detected in the network. Please find out what's wrong(wiring or switch) and install the official printer driver to all computers/ set the default page size to A4/ connection type to IP (selectable during the official driver installation). Ensure staff are connected to new network connection correctly. Update HP printers to new IP address (supplied). Merakis are setup by our IT team in the UK. You will need to also load Subnet Mast, Gateway and DNS1/2 when on site. Property has two separate internet connections. If for some reason, connection does not work, will refer to UK team and request follow up support to be negotiated with person assisting with this job. Expect overall job to take 2-4 hours max (assuming works smoothly).
