Looking for someone experienced with window draft sealing and DIY sound reduction for a rental property. I’ve just moved into an older apartment with timber awning windows on a busy road. I’m getting noticeable traffic noise and can also feel a draft coming through the closed windows. I’ve already purchased self-adhesive weather seals to try, but I’d love someone with experience to inspect the windows and suggest or install affordable, renter-friendly improvements that could help reduce noise. I’m planning to add heavy curtains, but I suspect the windows themselves are the main issue, so I’m hoping for advice beyond just curtains if possible. I’m not looking for expensive window replacement or permanent renovations—just practical, cost-effective DIY or rental-friendly solutions such as improving the seals, adjusting the window fit, or other ideas to reduce traffic noise. If you’ve done similar work before, I’d love to hear what you’d recommend.

A panel of the plastered ceiling has fallen down due to water damage. The leak has been fixed but the section of the ceiling that fell needs to be replaced. It's roughly 2mx1m in size.

I started putting this shed together but got frustrated and left it to finish over the summer break. I’ve since had wrist surgery, so I can’t finish it myself. I’m looking for someone to finish the assembly and place it on pavers I’ve already laid. The space is a bit awkward and narrow, but totally doable. Because of my injury, I won’t be able to help much on the day, so you’ll need to be happy managing the job on your own.

Hi all. I have a water tank in our courtyard (broken pump so we want to get rid of it). I'll need it drained and removed. I'm happy to dispose of it just mainly need it drained and disconnected. The water tank is fine so happy if you want to actually keep it. I'll need quotes from qualified plumbers only to do the job as on-top of draining and disconnecting the water tank, I need the gutter drain pipe re plumbed as well, there is a drain on the ground in the right floor next to the tank.
