I am after pest control professional - inspect if any dead rat in roof cavity - eliminate odor caused by dead rat with enzyme-based products - clean rat droppings in roof cavity and sanitize the area with disinfectant. 3-2-1 unit . A dead rat was found in roof cavity 1month ago and removed . A pest control treatment was done 2 weeks by the pest specialist arranged by the landlord. However the odor in the house gets stronger.
