Outcome is to have the post repaired along with the surrounding areas where it joins, so that the remaining post does not rot further. Finished job is to also include painted, sanded, and finished to match existing structure. Likely the post needs to be replaced and possible the two connecting beams that join.

I need help building a carport-style shed in my backyard to cover a ramp and vehicle. The structure will use my existing house roof side and garage side as support, with 2 front pillars.
