My mum gave me her working washing machine as she upgraded. I have tried connecting hoses myself to taps but I may be doing it wrong, cant figure it out, water coming out of laundry sink tap, but not flowing through hose to fill washing machine. Really need to wash clothes!!! HELP!! 🙏🏻

My washing machine is not draining water and not spinning

I have a washing machine (broke this week) and I need it removed from my apartment. Note that the washing machine has some water in it as it's unable to drain. There are around 10 steps leading up to the apartment. My partner is able to help you carry it down the stairs.
