The tap is smaller than the washing machine hose connector, and I’ve been told this size is now standard in newly built homes. I’ve received a couple of suggestions on how to fix this — one is to use a reducing bush to connect to the tap, and the other is to get a different hose that fits both the washing machine and the tap. I’m not sure which option is best, so I’m looking for someone with experience (maybe a plumber or handyman) who can help me sort this out so my family and I can start using our washing machine instead of paying to use a laundromat.
