I have a back courtyard that is approx 1.2m x 3.2m that is 'open air'. The brief is to have this covered so that it is 100% protected from the rain - which will make this courtyard space more usable. Ideally I'd love this to be covered with clear roof sheeting (to let the most light in), but if it can be done far cheaper, I'd be open to a 100% waterproof but light coloured shade cloth as an alternative. As seen in the images, there is a *slight* fall from the existing house gutter to the top of the garage gutter. I'm not sure what you can affix anything to on the house side... of course, happy for a light frame or brackets to be affixed to the garage wall as well. Also happy for any rain to fall onto the garage roof where it can be drained away. Whatever the solution, the goal is for the courtyard area under this roofing to be 100% dry (ie. I'm able to put electrical applicances under here), and as light filled as possible. Attached are photos of the courtyard area from both long ends of the courtyard. I've attempted to markup the approx dimensions, and one of the images has a markup of how I imagine a lightweight frame (anchored to the top of the garage wall, and two sides of the house along the gutter) holding up the clear roofing sheets might sit? I've also attached photos to show you the ever so slight 'fall' from the top of the house gutter on the left to the top of the garage wall on the right - and to show you the garage roof where I'm happy for any water to run off into. Again, just my thoughts - if you have better ideas pls let me know!

Clear and clean leaves out of gutters. Pergola is low to the ground and can be done with a ladder. The house is single story with a color bond steel roof . The back section of the house is a flat roof and will require an extension ladder to get up there.
