Cover for the toilet seat in our master bedroom has cracked open (see images) and is essentially unusable. The seat itself is still intact. All that is needed is a replacement cover + that cover’s installation. I usually work from home MON + FRI. Attendance at the premises from 9.30am onwards on both those days would be ideal. I’m looking for an experienced handyman or carpenter to repair a cracked wall / trim at the staircase landing area (see photos attached). Issue details: • The crack is located at the corner of the staircase, where the metal handrail meets the wall/trim. • The damage appears to be caused by long-term pressure/movement from the handrail against the wall trim. • This is not a structural issue, but the trim has separated and needs proper repair before selling the property. Scope of work expected: • Inspect the cracked trim / wall section • Remove damaged trim or plasterboard as needed (small section only) • Reinforce behind the trim if required (e.g. timber noggin / fixing point), so the handrail is solid and stable, with no movement during normal use, and does not cause the wall/trim to crack again • Reinstall / replace trim or plasterboard • Patch, sand, and repaint to a neat, sale-ready finish Important: • I’m not looking for a cosmetic-only fix (e.g. silicone or quick filler). • The underlying cause needs to be addressed so the crack does not reappear. I have rivet nuts and screws prepared, but I’m happy to use the handyman’s own materials if needed. 2. Light switch buttons Two light switch buttons are faulty – they are hard to press and almost popping out. The handyman can supply and replace the switches if required. When opening the door, the handle is pushed down but does not return to its normal position automatically. It should spring back but currently needs to be lifted up manually.
