Hi, I’m looking for a quote to sand back approximately 38sqm of floorboards in a large upstairs front room to the original Baltic pine. The floor is currently covered in a very dark finish, and I want it sanded right back to the base timber. From there, I’d like the price to include the full process of getting it to a light, natural end result. Ideally, if the stripped Baltic pine comes up light enough, I’d like it finished with a natural-looking seal only. The finish must still feel like real wood underfoot, with the natural texture of the timber still present, while of course being properly sealed. If the bare pine is not light enough once sanded back, I would like the option of bringing it up to a lighter colour to match my reference photo. Please include this as part of the overall pricing, or clearly itemise the additional cost for achieving that lighter final colour if needed. I’ll attach photos of the current floor, the floorplan, and a reference photo of the colour/finish I’m aiming for. It’s on floor 1 of an old Fitzroy shop with stairs.
