My shower keeps switching between scalding hot and freezing cold… done a bit of research online, looks like it’s an issue with the Thermostatic Cartridge. Need to remove the cartridge and assess the situation, it might just need a descale. Just not really sure how. I’m guessing it’s not a huge job. If time and skills permit I’d also like to hand a couple of hooks on the wall, just not confident with a drill. Thanks.

I've bought a new kitchen mixer tap from B&Q. I need someone to uninstall the current tap and install the new one in its place. Here are some pics of how things currently look above and below the sink.

Current bath tap does not have a shower attachment. Have bought a new shower tap with a shower attachment. Needs to be swapped over. Can provide pictures if needed.

Issue: Kitchen mixer tap leaking from the gap between the hot/cold handle. The water dribbles down the shaft when in use. No flooding, the tap is still usable for now, but needs dealing with. Thoughts:likely a cartridge replacement or issue with sealing. I'd rather not replace the whole tap, but you'll do a diagnosis first and we'll discuss. Hopefully, it's a short one-and-done job: There's a Screwfix and a Toolstation nearby. If after diagnosis, the right part is available, I can nip off and buy it. Or, I can purchase one from you if you carry spares... Budget is for labour if this is the kind of job we're looking at... I'll cover you for parking vouchers during your visit as needed.

We have recently installed a new shower in an old bathroom. Over the past couple of weeks, we have noticed water dripping from where the pipes are which corresponds to the back wall of the shower. Water appears only when the shower is running and it's small but constant. We need to find out where is coming from. We've secured all the little mosaic tiles in the picture... We had a plumber look at the job and told us that the pipe were fine and that we most likely need to remove the mosaic tiles dry the wall and replace them. We want to remove that entire vertical strip of mosaic tiles and replace it with something else. As I said, we replaced the grout wherever we found it to be loose but it's not enough. I need someone with plumbing and tiling experience to help us fix this problem asap. We won't use the old mosaic tile and rather move to a backsplash just in the strip that runs behind the shower unit. I do not want to be charged for call-out fees but you are very welcome to come take a look before giving a quote. I need to fix this asap.

Hi! We are looking for a certified plumber for this issue. We have this shower system. We have a shower hose that is brand new and we have just replaced it, and when we bought it new, it had new elastic inside. However, even with this replacement and new elastic, the shower head/hose continued to leak, so we put a second elastic inside the hose. It is still leaking. We are trying to understand why, even when we don't use the shower for a couple days, this hose continues to leak. When it leaks, without using the shower for a couple days, it is a lot of water- cups of water can fill up. We want someone to tell us why this is leaking and how it must be fixed. If you know how to fix it, it would be great! We don't want the tiles on the wall broken.

The flush button mechanism for my toilet has come loose behind the wooden panel. The grey flush actuator/mechanism is currently being held in place with cable ties; without them it hangs loose, and when the flush button is pressed the whole mechanism moves instead of staying securely mounted. I’m looking for someone to inspect it and properly secure/remount the mechanism, ideally with a suitable bracket/fixing rather than cable ties, and make sure the flush operates correctly. Access is available behind the toilet and I can provide photos. Ideally looking for someone with experience repairing concealed cistern/toilet flush mechanisms. Please bring any appropriate brackets/fixings that may be required.

I have a wall-hung toilet with a concealed cistern behind a tiled wall. There is a water leak from behind the wall. I believe the leak is coming from the concealed cistern and/or the connection between the toilet pan and the concealed cistern, but the exact source needs to be investigated. The leak does not appear to be accessible without opening the tiled boxing. I am looking for a quote to: - Investigate and identify the source of the leak. - Repair or replace the faulty concealed cistern or associated pipework/fittings as required. - Remove and reinstate the tiled boxing if necessary to gain access.
