Toilet Seat Hinge Issue – Needs Repair or Replacement The toilet seat is loose due to an issue with the mounting hinges. As shown in the attached photos: One or both of the hinge caps at the back of the toilet seat (the round stainless steel fittings) appear to be unstable or not fully secured to the porcelain base. The plastic anchor pegs underneath the hinges may not be locking properly or could be worn out, causing the seat to shift during use. The entire seat shifts or feels unstable when sat on, indicating that the mounting is no longer secure. I’m need of assistance to have it inspected and either tightened securely, or the hinges and/or mounting system replaced entirely if they are stripped or damaged.
