I have a bathroom pocket/cavity sliding door that has come off its overhead track (see photos). I've tried to re-seat it myself without success. There's a wooden trim piece running along the side of the track mechanism that appears to be glued (not just screwed) to the door frame — I attempted to remove the screws but the trim won't budge, which is likely blocking access to the roller/track assembly. This might be a quick fix for someone experienced with sliding/cavity doors, but could also need a bit of carpentry work if the trim has to be carefully freed or replaced. Happy to increase the budget after an onsite look if more work is required. (1) I have some ceiling holes made by an electrician that need to be patched (I have the pieces of gyprock), and a couple of smaller 10mm drill areas (2 through plaster and 2 through brick) than need to be filled with an appropriate filler. And then painted as below. (2) There are a few small patches around the areas of the holes that have glue on the wall and/or paint ripped off from previous ducting that needs sanding back/off, then painted. (3) I will provide ceiling and wall paints for you to paint the affected areas once patched. See photos. The ceiling at the highest point where most of the holes are is 3.6m. One of the areas is under a stairwell, which might be reached by a stair-compatible ladder or possibly from the stairs at the same level on the other side. See Photo of stairwell.
