Our shower-over-bath currently allows water to pool around the bath edge and escape onto the bathroom floor. We plan to construct a raised waterproof hob around the existing bathtub, finished with a porcelain slab cap graded towards the bath. We are seeking an experienced tiler or waterproofer with wet-area renovation experience. A glazier may also be required for the shower screen. Proposed scope: * Temporarily remove the existing fixed shower screen. * Inspect and prepare the existing glazed tiles to achieve a reliable bond, using mechanical abrasion and/or a manufacturer-approved bonding primer and adhesive system. * Construct a new waterproof hob over the existing tiles without removing them. * A custom-sized Demtech high-density polyurethane shower hob is being considered and can be supplied by the owner, subject to installer approval. * Form the substrate with suitable falls towards the bathtub. * Waterproof all hob surfaces, joins and junctions with the bath and adjoining walls. * Prepare the completed substrate for installation of the porcelain slab cap. * After the stone is installed, reinstall the wall-fixed shower screen in its revised position, aligned with the outer edge of the new hob. * Complete all required flexible sealant and caulking around the screen, stone cap and bathtub. Excluded from scope: * Fabrication and installation of the porcelain slab cap. This will be completed separately by the owner’s stonemason. We need a roof plumber to fix a few holes in our tiled single storey garage roof. It’s caused damage to the ceiling plaster which we have now replaced. The holes were discovered while the plaster was off. There are 5 visible holes, one on each corner and one in the highest point in the middle as pictured.

The tile sits directly beneath the ridge/hip capping, so part of the capping may need to be carefully removed and reinstated to replace the tile correctly. The homeowner has matching replacement tiles available. The crack has been temporarily sealed with roofing silicone to keep the area weatherproof. Work required: • Remove the cracked tile • Install one of the customer-supplied replacement tiles • Carefully remove and reinstate the affected ridge/hip capping if required • Re-bed and re-point the capping where disturbed, matching the existing finish as closely as possible • Ensure the completed repair is secure and watertight • Avoid damaging the surrounding terracotta tiles • Remove all debris and leave the area clean • Provide before-and-after photos and an invoice for the completed work The customer is particular about the finish, so I’m looking for someone with genuine roof-tiling experience who will complete the repair neatly and professionally.
