I need a licensed gasfitter to properly diagnose why my gas hot water system won't light. This task is for the diagnosis only. Any repair will be quoted separately once I've seen the results. The unit - Vulcan Freeloader, model 648135N0, 135 L, outdoor, mains pressure, natural gas - Manufactured September 2020 - Gas control valve: SIT 630 Eurosit, dated 2024, so it was replaced within the last two years The fault Following the lighting instructions on the unit, the igniter sparks but the pilot won't light. Gas is on at the property and other gas appliances are working. Why I'm posting here - I've had several quotes for a new gas control valve and thermocouple without anyone testing anything. Given the valve is only two years old, I'm not convinced that's the problem, and I'm not paying for parts that haven't been shown to be faulty. What I'd like checked, with results reported back to me 1) Appliance gas isolation valve open, and gas pressure at the valve test point (the rating plate specifies 1.00 kPa) 2) Whether gas is reaching the pilot, and whether the pilot injector and pilot supply line are clear 3) Whether the igniter spark is landing at the pilot hood and the electrode is intact 4)If the pilot lights but drops out, a millivolt reading on the thermocouple and a check of its connection at the gas valve If a part is faulty If testing shows a part needs replacing, I'm happy for you to quote for that and the job is yours. Cleaning or adjusting the pilot assembly on the day is fine if that's the fix, just let me know before you do it. Requirements - Current Victorian gasfitting licence. Hoses currently coming through a hole in the flooring, need this hole patched up and hoses to be relocated to existing hole in cabinetry and dishwasher brought forward.

The system doesn't keep the light going this no hot water. It flows, turns on but then drops out Unsure what next to do

washing machine got connected when I moved house but its leaking from the connection (not the machine) when I wash clothes. The connection may also be affecting the ability to drain the load and the hot/cold was and temps.

Kitchen mixer tap is leaking badly in between joins. Needs to be replaced or potentially repaired today. I will supply new tap.

Need a plumber to cap of some exposed plumbing after the removal of a garage kitchen. There’s a hot water line and a cold water line that need to be capped off in the wall cavity so the external tap fixtures can be removed. Also to be removed is a drainage pipe for washing machine. Please note in the photos there’s a lot of electrical wiring lying around, this is being removed today by an electrician so that won’t be there.

I am after a plumber who can give an opinion on tree roots that have infiltrated the sewerage system and is causing significant damage to property and infrastructure. I will need a report / documentation stating that the large pine trees roots have caused such issues and requires removal of the tree in its entirety to rectify the situation. Note this was a previous plumbers opinion a number of years ago however I have lost the email and details of this recommendation.

Fix dripping shower head. I feel like it’s gotten worse since winter hit although not sure that’s a thing. Not sure if needs washers replacing or cartridge?

I have a dishwasher, and I would like it to be connected to the water main under the sink. The pipes are all in place, just needs a part and connected up. The grey water also needs connecting to the drainage pipe, but this shpuld be straight forward as there's already a junction there for it.

2 sinks to be taken off wall and the plumbing be capped and gap fill the wall.. 1-2 hour job. Just need someone with professional tools and not overpriced.

Old apartment with hot water system in cupboard. Downstairs neighbour is a chain smoker and terrible smoke smell in my apartment. I think it’s from this cupboard! Must be gaps I can fix?? Have to stop the smell it’s bad😬. Need someone to have a look and see what they can do. I’m not there at the moment so can’t send pics…maybe reline cupboard and seal the crap out of it??
