Find an experienced handyman in Australia Square

A bit of an unconventional task. I’m a renter, so I can’t have a proper AC set up. My only solution is a portable AC. I’m not a crafty or handy person, but I also don’t want flimsy cardboard boxes against my window. I need help executing the idea attached in the photos. Ideally for two windows. Likely need a custom solution to perfectly fit the measurements of the awning windows. The job will involve closing off part of a large awning window with a suitable board/panel and cutting a hole to suit the exhaust hose, ensuring a neat look. The sides of the awning window will also need to be sealed. You must supply all tools, materials and fittings required and be confident working with non-standard window setups. 2 x ceiling fans new install for both in the spot I currently have lights. The remote control for the fan will operate the light on the fan. I have the brand-new fans in boxes. Ceiling is concrete and a 70s build apartment double brick. Unfortunately, an electrician has left me without the work done and I’ve paid him $510 for the two installs. Install a new attic ladder. Old one is broken. Not sure if as simple as replacing the ladder only or the whole thing needs replacement.

Ideally available this week. Please confirm you’re comfortable drilling into walls and assembling flat-pack furniture.

X3 curtain rod installation (from ikea) - will need electric drill and ladder X1 lightbulb to be replaced (I will supply bulb)

Fill this bit of the bench in with similar stained or coloured wood. I want to close the gap up. The wall was uneven so looks like the bench wasn’t fitted properly. Also needs a bracket installed underneath as it looks like it’s installed at the wrong position. I’ll pay for bracket and screws etc.

Jobs 1 and 2 are simple. Fill the holes with plaster and then paint over. Job 3 is more complex. Cut out the gyprock (may be fire rated gyprock, am not sure), replace-gyprock that square, plaster and paint. We will provide paint. Other materials provided by you.

I need gyprock installed to the lower third of an exposed brick wall to prepare the wall for installation of wainscotting. The section of wall to be covered is 270*90cm You will need to include all materials in the quote.

We've just removed an old, rusted letterbox from our front metal fence, but the two screws that were attaching it are still stuck in the fence, along with a small but sharp scrap of metal from the base of the letterbox. The screws are very old, and my attempts to get them out using a screwdriver have failed. I'm hoping someone with more tools and skills can remove the screws altogether – or, if that proves impossible, at least remove the scrap of metal left behind by the letterbox, as it's sharp and could cut somebody if left on the fence. Hi we are a time poor family and need some help getting through a list of odd jobs in the house for someone with some basic handyman credentials. Might be more of a day job with a trip to Bunnings so would be keen to just pay a day rate if so - if all can be done in a day This includes: - installing a curtain rod/rails above bedroom window - remove 4 x old curtains that we are replacing - fixing external locks on laundry and porch doors - they are unaligned/old and loose - advising on lock solution to unsecured windows - fixing 2 x loose door handles/latches - installing a hook/hanging painting - installing bars back into window (we removed when moving furniture)

Need to drill into masonry wall and then install ikea boaxel shelving. We have the screws and wall plugs. You should bring your masonry drill and spirit level or digital level. It would require drilling approx 29 holes into the masonry. The shelving is 2 metres tall and 1.2m wide.

Remove 2 x deadlocks, repair door frame and paint (top layer of paint provided) Hang 1 picture (brick wall) Hang 4 small pictures (gyprock)
