Our client's daughter looks after this property for a landlord. The tenant has now left but the first floor door came off it’s hinges and has temporarily secured in place. Please find attached photographs of the outside, inside and the hinge. To help you understand the windows are aluminium framed and contain an opening outward door which again is aluminium framed but contains boarding on the outside. In the elevation photo of the house it’s the right hand window that we are talking about which comprises a fixed section of timber boarding, a door and then the glazing. The remedial work will involve a tower scaffold to first floor cill height, taking out the door (which is currently locked in place) which is very heavy, taking off the hinges and relocating them on both the door edge and the frame. In addition it’s likely to need a new restrictor on the top edge (I am assuming it was damaged when it came out of the frame.) Finally it will need new rubber seals. Can you please let me know your price and availability to carry out these remedial works? - Due date: Flexible
