Hello, We are renovating our Victorian terrace house in East London - we have a wooden front door that is in very good condition but doesn’t look great (it has a dated stain, the glass isn’t very pretty and the door furniture looks dated). We have always had an outer uPVC door, so it hasn’t been exposed to the elements very much which is why it is in pretty good condition. Ideally we would like it sanded down, painted, the 3 pains of glass in the top replaced with double glazing and the door furniture and lock to be replaced (we could supply all of this for you - the paint, the glass, the furniture). We are hoping this will be cheaper than replacing it! We also need the frame for the door to be rebuilt in hard wood (Acoya). We have a piece of original stained glass we have had refurbished which needs to sit above the door (the fanlight), so the frame would need to accommodate this. We also need a fire door and a fixed window (also needs to be fire proof) in the hallway which we would like to have a glass inset, we can provide the fire proof glass, we would just need you to build a door and a fixed internal window. Our hope was to have these in a crittall like style. I have plans which you could look at. I can also send photos so you have a feel for what needs doing - if you could send through a rough quote that would be fantastic. This job would need to be completed within the next 6-8 weeks, so we would really like to get it locked in ASAP.
