It is a lift and slide door and the issue is that the door handle is not turning the mechanism to lift the door up (it is slipping in the mechanism as I turn the handle). I believe the gearbox is broken and needs to be replaced (I have already purchased a replacement part) - however to get access to change this part, the door handle needs to be removed and the door has to be taken out of the frame which will require 2 people to do this.
