I bought and fixed on a wall-mounted shoe rack that lasted 7 days and then fell out. Our house is an 18th century terraced house so it has quite crumbly brick, which weakened around the wall plugs and it fell out. Smoke alarms are all on quite high ceilings. Two are in the hallway and one is in the kitchen.
