Velux blind not pulling down due to broken string

Hi I purchased a cat door (without a flap) and I need to install it into one of my internal doors so that I can hide the litter box. I’d prefer if you didn’t need to take the door off which I think can be done with a drill and jigsaw. You would need to have the tools as I only have the cat door.
