Hi, I’m having an issue with my electricity. The RCD switch in my fuse box (the wider switch marked “Push to Test 63A”) keeps tripping, sometimes after a few hours and sometimes within seconds or minutes. When it trips, several appliances and sockets lose power, but some lights remain on. I have to switch the RCD back up to restore the electricity.

I need a qualified electrician to inspect a recently purchased 60L chocolate melangeur before it runs continuously for 24–72 hours at a time. It has a 1.5 kW three-phase motor run from a single-phase supply through an inverter (VFD). The wiring and inverter were replaced after a fault earlier this year. The inspection should cover: • terminals at the inverter, motor and supply, checked for tightness and heat damage • refitting a loose cable gland on the motor • confirming the motor is connected in delta, and checking the inverter's overload settings • an insulation resistance test on the motor • measuring the current under load during a production batch • advising whether a 13 A plug is suitable, or a dedicated 16 A circuit with an RCD is needed • a short written report of findings Experience with inverters or motor-driven equipment preferred.
