We need the existing hob replaced following an EICR issue, as the circuit is currently tripping the fuse. We don’t know for certain whether the hob itself is causing the problem, but as it is quite old, we have decided to replace it. We need an electrician to install, connect and fully test the new hob, and also check the circuit to identify whether there are any other issues. I’m looking for a qualified electrician for several small electrical jobs in my flat. Ideally I’d like to have these completed together, depending on the quote. 1. Convert 3 existing single sockets to flush-mounted double sockets I have the new double socket faceplates already. The existing openings will need to be enlarged/chased out and suitable double back boxes fitted into the wall, so the finished sockets sit flush with the wall like standard sockets. I do not want surface-mounted boxes. 2. Remove 2 hardwired electric radiators and replace the connection points with flush-mounted double sockets There are two electric radiators currently hardwired into fused connection points. I’d like both radiators electrically disconnected and removed, then, where suitable, the existing connection points converted to double sockets. The replacement sockets should also be flush-mounted into the wall, not surface-mounted, including any chasing or enlargement required. I have the double socket faceplates already. I’ve attached a photo showing the existing radiator connection. Please check that the existing circuits are suitable before converting the radiator points to sockets. I will supply all visible socket faceplates. Please include any back boxes, cable and other installation materials required. Please include labour, testing and any required electrical certification in your quote. Experienced bicycle/e-bike mechanic required in Abbots Langley, Hertfordshire to service and repair a large Alpine electric fat-tyre trike. I am looking for a comprehensive service, not just a basic safety check. Work required: • Front tyre has an active leak — inflates to 30 PSI but goes completely flat again within hours. Diagnose and properly repair the cause. • Rear tyre has a slow leak and also needs diagnosing/repairing. • Full hydraulic brake service/bleed and brake pad inspection. • Wheels, spokes and wheel alignment checked. • Headset, steering and bearings checked and adjusted/regreased where required. • Drivetrain checked, cleaned and lubricated. • All important bolts/fixings checked and tightened. • General inspection of the electric-bike connections. • Full clean/service of the trike. The trike has fat tyres and an electric hub-motor wheel. You MUST have genuine experience servicing bicycles/e-bikes, including hydraulic brakes. Experience with electric trikes, cargo bikes or fat bikes is strongly preferred. Please tell me what bicycle/e-bike repair experience you have when making an offer and whether you can complete the work at my home. The fan has three wires and the wiring is not very clear in our house where the fan will be fitted. The wiring seems to be non standard so we need an electrician that can properly test the wiring so that the fan is installed correctly and safely.
