Looking for a roof plumber, pergola installer or tradesperson experienced with polycarbonate roofing to modify an existing steel expandable gazebo in Epping. The gazebo is approximately 2.95 m wide × 3.03 m long and expands to approximately 5.7 m. It currently has a fabric canopy that I would like replaced with clear lightweight polycarbonate/Laserlite-style roofing, or another suitable clear product if recommended. The steel frame is already assembled and has curved roof supports and two sliding roof sections. Ideally, I would like to retain the existing expandable function if practical. Job would include * Install clear lightweight roofing to suit the curved roof * Add lightweight supports/battens if required * Advise on drainage/edging if required I have the manufacturer’s full assembly instructions showing the frame and sliding mechanism and can provide photos and measurements. Happy for you to recommend the best way to complete the job. I can also purchase the roofing/materials from Bunnings if preferred. Indicative budget: $500–$600 labour. I understand the final price may depend on what is required after assessing the frame. Please provide a fair, reasonable quote and separate labour from materials. As the existing structure is already assembled, I’m not looking to pay a full new-pergola construction price. When making an offer, please mention your experience with polycarbonate/Laserlite, pergola or similar roofing work and whether your quote includes materials.

This work is at my investment property in Epping. The tenants noticed water marks on the skirting board and the property manager enaged a plumber to investigate. ------ WORK COMPLETED: Attended property to conduct investigations to leaks in the living room. Accessed and inspected several spots that are leaking. Conducted moisture testing and found most areas with low readings - Almost dry. There are obvious water stains that have dried. Set up ladder to inspect roof and gutters. Found multiple solar panels installed on the roof. Found gutters are full of debris. Found multiple tiles (Roof and Ridge) with cracks. Found the pointing on the edge of the ridge tiles was coming off at the front of the house and some areas at the rear. Cracked tiles or bedding might be allowing water to ingress - Suggest the main cause is the full guttering. Recommend full roof/gutter clean and temporary silicone on ridge capping to be completed for the first stage. If leaks continue we would recommend and full re-bed and point of ridge capping and replacement of cracked tiles. Recommended - Further works to be completed on a dry day. Return and do a full gutter clean. Test all downpipes to ensure they are not blocked. Apply temporary silicone seal to suspect holes and ridge cap bedding.

Outdoor Planter Box Rebuild – Demo, Waterproof & Retile I have a covered outdoor alfresco area with a long rendered/stacked stone garden wall with built-in planter box cutouts along the top. The sides of the wall are solid and in great condition. The issue is the internal structure of the planter boxes — the timber framing underneath is rotting out and the bluestone tiles on top are lifting/shifting as a result. Work required: Demo and remove all rotted timber framing from inside the planter box openings Rebuild the internal planter box frames using steel or masonry (no timber) Apply waterproofing membrane to all internal planter surfaces Re-lay bluestone tiles to match existing (grey/blue tone, approx 600x600) Grout and seal all tiling Clean up and remove all waste What's staying: The stacked stone wall sides are NOT to be touched.
