We have purchased VIDGA curtain rail and 3 wall brackets for installation, to hang 2.5m drop curtains over window/door. Walls are double brick, rendered and painted.

The curtain rod mounting has bent and partially fallen away from the brick wall in one section in the bedroom. The other two areas where the curtain is attached to the wall are bent under the weight of the curtains. I believe the curtains are too heavy for the rod.
