Curtain installation
Your professional installer will measure and mark where the curtain brackets will go, making sure that the curtains will completely cover the window. Next, they’ll secure the brackets in place with screws and place the rod on the brackets, checking that the rod is level. Curtain track installation

Shades/roller blind installation
It’s common to book blind and curtain installation together if you need both types of window coverings. For shades, also known as roller blinds, your installer will first measure and mark the area where the mounting brackets are going to be placed on the window frame. Next, they’ll drill holes into the marks before securing the mounting brackets on the marked area with screws, making sure that the male and female pieces go on the correct sides of the window. Finally, they’ll click the shades into place and fix in a tensioning device to secure the adjusting chain.
Curtain rod repair
Broken rods may be repaired or replaced, depending on the type and extent of the damage. If the rod bracket has been pulled out of the wall, your repairer will start by removing the curtain rod and drilling holes through the wall above and below where it was mounted. They’ll place small plastic anchors through each of these holes, before reattaching the curtain mounts to these anchors. Alternatively, your contractor may choose to repair the hole and re-attach your curtain mounts in a slightly different spot. If the curtain rod has been bent, your handyman may also be able to straighten it out using tools before re-hanging.

I need curtain rods put up, on two windows, above the existing blind tracks (I'll be removing the blinds and attempting to reuse the tracks for net curtains). I also need picture hooks put up for about six pictures, most of which are A3 size, but I have a larger picture that may require 2-3 hooks - I'll let you advise on the best way to do this. The walls are plaster over brick, so the task will require drilling into brick. I will buy the fittings/fixtures etc, and have a stepladder that you can use.
