Hi we have had one section of our staircase balustrade come out of the wall. The cause of this was the builder had not used a long enough screw and the bricks in the wall being very old and brittle. We need the balustrade to be fixed back onto the wall. As mentioned the wall is a little brittle so we need to find someone who can solve this problem so the balustrade doesn’t come out again. Check for leaks , repair leak in roof, clean gutters for single storey terrace, create a replacement individual permanent awning which is not joined with neighbour . Currently, awning is joined with neighbour.
